Jake Fletcher
He was born in Brighton by the sea, a thalasophille at heart, with no natural musical talent but he likes to sing anyway, hence his love of sea shanties. He was talked into joining a community choir in 2017 and got hooked instantly. The 2019 Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival cemented his love for shanties and he’sbeen boring loved ones with them ever since. On the same weekend, he went out sailing on Barnabus the Cornish lugger with his Devonian lover (who became my wife) and he knocked a rafting iron over board! He needs more sailing experience!
