WE ARE THE SELSEY SHANTYMEN AND WE HOPE WE FIND YOU WELL!

We’re happy to say that, at last, from April 2022, you will find us once again singing regularly on the Selsey Lifeboat Station Apron (weather permitting) supporting Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Station. We will be on deck on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 2pm keeping Shanties alive and having a good time while we do it! Come along and bring some loose change for the buckets! Our upcoming appearances will always be posted here on the website, and will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter

We also support at least one other charity each year. If you are associated with a charity – particularly if it’s local to Selsey and the surrounding area – and would like it to be considered for our noisy support please get in touch. For any queries or if you would like us to attend your meeting, function or gathering of any kind and sing a few shouty songs then go to our ‘Contact Us‘ page and shout AHOY!

The Selsey Shantymen were brought together in 2018 by Selsey local John Bradley (Sloop), without whom the rousing sounds of sea shanties would not be heard in Selsey. Although not actively singing with the group now, John remains our honorary vice president.
