Manu Moreau and Yves Gravar were the very popular and in-demand duo known as Two Sheets to the Wind. These accomplished musicians performed on a variety of instruments and their maritime music was clearly influenced by Soul, Jazz and other styles. These two were former members of the equally popular group, Les Mâles de Mer, which broke up around 2018. Sadly, Yves Gravar succumbed to cancer in 2020; his loss was greatly felt in the community and ended Two Sheets to the Wind. Manu Moreau eventually joined The Straps, a Belgian “American Roots Music” group, which recently concluded a successful tour through Normandy.

The duo “Two Sheets To The Wind” are Yves Graver and Manu Moreau; hailing from la Gaume, a small region in south Belgium famous for its ORVAL beer. Although they live hundreds of miles from any coastline, they get their kicks from adapting shanties and performing them with powerful enthusiasm, in English, French, Dutch or even Creole. They also play traditional Irish music and have toured across Europe with appearances in Norway, Germany, Holland, Belgium and France, as well as Tall Ships gatherings in the USA. Although the band is relatively young, they have been playing in other maritime and folk formations for several years. — from Sailortown Sea Shanty Festival group bio page.
