According to the Bitter End website, the Solihull Real Ale & Shanty Festival was held at the Royal British Legion Club in Solihull, Birmingham, UK on 2nd-3rd April 2009. It appears that this festival moved on to become the Solihull Beer Festival in 2023, held at the same location. Missing is the sea shanty element. While no further information about this event seems evident online, there is a similar event running in 2023 and 2024: Real Ale & Shanty Festival, run by the Hay Shantymen.
