Overview
There has been an ongoing celebration of 150 years of Sharpness New Dock since 2024. The 2025 Sharpness Midsummer Sea Shanty Festival (second annual) was a part of that celebration. On Saturday, 21st June 2025 from 2:00 pm the event began at the Sharpness Sports & Social Club, Bridge Road, Sharpness GL13 9UN, featuring a number of notable UK-based maritime music groups. The club’s bar and kitchen was open from noon forward and admission was free for the musical performances.
The Sharpness Sports & Social Club is the beating heart of the Sharpness Dockyard and our local community since 1871. The facility is dog-friendly and features an extensive campground area.
