Vent d’Anges – Songs Between Land and Sea. Vent d’Anges is a musical group from Brittany that brings to life fest-deiz, fest-noz, and cabaret evenings, specialising in dance songs from the Gallic region and traditional sea shanties.

The group was founded in 2007 by Jean-François Allain (flute and vocals) and Anne Couturier (vocals and bodhrán). They were soon joined by Pierre Dufouil (guitar and vocals), forming the original trio.

In 2009, the group expanded with the arrival of Clément Bougère, who added his talents on diatonic accordion and vocals.

By 2011, Christian Allain (guitar and vocals) came on board, followed in 2012 by Marie-Christine Froger, who brought vocals and the hurdy-gurdy to the ensemble.

After nine years of devoted involvement, Anne Couturier left the group in 2016.

In 2018, Jean-François Froger—a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, and former member of the group IHNZE—joined the lineup, further enriching the group’s musical range.

Note: The group should not to be confused with the French duo of the same name, (meaning”Wind of Angels” in English) that plays a mixture of swing and reggae, music from the east and of Africa.
