Overview
Vent d’Bout, (“Head into the wind” in English) is a French maritime song group from Brittany, formed in 2017 with Isabelle Gallais on vocals and Daniel Calméjane on guitar/vocals.
To embellish these first beginnings, Philippe Richard violinist/flutist, quickly joined them. The first objective was to continue to bring to life the songs of Hervé Guillemer with whom the three of them had traveled a long way.
In 2018, the group developed its repertoire with the arrival of Alain le Boulanger on diatonic accordion and bodhran.
Vent d’Bout offers you an oceanic repertoire embellished with some pirate adventures. All from different musical universes (sea songs, Celtic music, fest noz) they draw their inspiration from the texts of contemporary authors, traditional songs, the lives of sailors and pirates. They bring their very personal arrangements sprinkled with Breton and Irish music.
The 4 friends offer a program from contemporary authors, playing on both emotions and energy, in order to take the public on board for an iodized musical crossing…
