Les Corsaires Malouins Groupe Vocal is currently composed of 16 amateur singers and 6 musicians. Founded in 1981 in Saint-Malo, its mission is to preserve and share the rich tradition of maritime songs and sailor folklore.

Over time, the group’s repertoire has expanded to include both traditional and contemporary sea shanties.

Each year, Les Corsaires Malouins take part in various humanitarian efforts, supporting organizations such as the Red Cross and Maux sans Frontière—an association of volunteer interpreters working in regional hospitals. Since 1986, during their lively street performances, particularly in the summer months, they also collect donations for the Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer (SNSM), the French national sea rescue service.

The group is led by Daniel Armand.
