Groggy Dogs, The

Spanish Pirate Punk Band, the Groggy Dogs is a band that fuses punk, metal & ska with sea shanties & traditional Celtic melodies, delivering a forceful & fun sound that invites you to dance & party with a few jugs of grog.

The Groggy Dogs idea was born in April 2020, a month after the confinement due to the Covid-19 crisis. Mauro (The Cap’n, Vocals and Guitar) after having gone through several Celtic music projects, wanted to continue with the idea of taking traditional Celtic melodies and giving them a more rough and forceful sound. Being a huge fan of traditional sea songs, he thought it would be a good idea to take some of those old songs and add them to the mix of Punk Metal and Ska,  being joined shortly after by the other members of the crew.

Note: Not to be confused with the traditional English Shanty group, Sloop Groggy Dogs.
