Overview
The Woodbury Whalers are a shanty group from Woodbury, East Devon.
The Whalers are Woodbury’s best (and only) shanty group. The group was formed in 2011 when Mike Jeans invited some friends who love singing to join him and have fun learning and performing sea shanties and the occasional whaling song.
The Woodbury Whalers focus on delivering close harmonies and a varied collection of songs, and have performed at numerous community events helping to raise money for local charities.
