(Probably) London’s Premier Sea Shanty Crew …
The HogEye Men, from London (UK), have a huge repertoire and sing authentic a cappella shanties in a traditional manner, plus a variety of other maritime songs. All members of the crew have long experience of traditional folk, particularly maritime, music and song. Originally formed 17 years ago, and much respected on the shanty circuit and at maritime festivals, “The Hogs” specialize in authentic unaccompanied shanty singing, drawing on their wide singing experience and love of the maritime genre. Performing at festivals and events in the UK, they also have a monthly residency singing on the famous Cutty Sark in Greenwich, London.
The crew also hosts a free monthly pub singaround in London, where all are welcome.
