Overview
This choir is from German seaport town of Cuxhaven at the Northern Sea. They have their own club house in the old harbour and also a smaler shanty group. The musical leader – Udo Brozio – was at sea with the training sailing boat “Gorch Fock”, is a brilliant musician and author of several books, included “Rolling Home” – a book in German language about shanties and sesongs.
As “the slightly different shanty choir” – as we like to call ourselves – it’s not surprising that both the well–known sailor’s songs and the classic shanties, the real work songs and many international songs of the sea are firmly anchored in our program. And so we’d be happy to take you on a polyphonic and multilingual musical world tour. (
