Overview
Arnside Maritime Singing Festival is a one-day event showcasing the best of maritime folk and sea shanty traditions taking place at Arnside Sailing Club in Lancashire.
Arnside Maritime Singing Festival returns on Sunday, August 16th 2026, with a line-up of performers from across the UK and beyond.
The festival coincides with the Morecambe Maritime Festival, taking place on Saturday, August 15.
This annual event, which has been running now for several years will raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), and a Severn yacht built in Arnside in 1912.
Visitors will have the chance to hear and take part in lunchtime, afternoon and evening concerts and open session, with sea shanty singing on the pier if weather permits.
Arnside is situated on the Kent Estuary at the top of Morecambe Bay in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with Lakeland views. The Sailing Club’s clubhouse is located in the Old Customs House on the Promenade and offers a varied programme of social and musical events.
