Overview
John Morris is the shantyman for the Fox Valley Folklore Society, running regular sing-outs on the first Sunday of every month at 2:00 pm CST. The group gathers at the Batavia Public Library in Batavia, Illinois, USA. Morris maintains an email list and publishes monthly invitations/reminders.
All Fox Valley Folklore Society events are open to the public – walk-ins are welcome. Cookies are provided; otherwise BYO is welcome. The Library does not allow alcohol. Membership in the Fox Valley Folklore Society is NOT required to participate in these sessions. You are welcome to bring musical and/or nautical toys as you please.
