Overview
The Solway Shegulls’ – Sea Shanty Singers is for women who love sea shanties and enjoy singing.
There are no auditions, all are welcome and as the songs come from an oral tradition, there is no requirement to read music. We sing traditional songs, specially arranged in 3 parts for a range of inexperienced and experienced singers. We currently have over 15 crew members ‘on our books’ but are always on the lookout for more.
Sessions are held on Mondays, 7.30 – 9.30pm.
The Seagulls can often be found performing alongside their sibling group, “The Solway Buoys.”
