Mr. Hurley und Die Pulveraffen

Mr. Hurley und Die Pulveraffen (= Mr. Hurley and The Powder Apes)

Mr. Hurley alias Simon Erichsen and his companions The Pulveraffen are the prime example of a successful German pirate rock band. They are an integral part of major concerts and festivals. Whether at a medieval festival, or at the Wacken Open Air festival, they have made the niche genre of pirate rock music popular. While they stormed in at number five in the album charts in 2017 with their album Tortuga, this Osnabrück folk band even made it to third place with their two following albums Seemannsgrab and Leuchtturm.

Their most recent album, S.O.S. was released in 2025.
