We received some shocking news yesterday and regret to inform you that our former colleague and founding member of the group, Alan Collier, passed away yesterday morning. Our sincere condolences to Jacqui and the rest of the family. – Steve, Colin and John.

A former member of Monkey’s Fist. As a “time served” club organiser, and singer/performer with a variety of folk groups in the past, Alan was also well known around the Yorkshire folk scene. As well as leading some of the group’s songs, he contributed to the band’s strength in diversity with occasional accompaniment on mandolin and whistles.
