Overview
Yves Gravar was the talented and charismatic member of Les Mâles de Mer from Belgium. Prior to his joining with the other members of this Belgian group, Gravar spent time as a guitarist in the band, That Ain’t Peter Pan. After leaving that group, he spent time as a solo musician, performing personal compositions in French and English with a very pop tone as well as some adaptations of songs whose melodies have never left us. He sang, and played an acoustic guitar in an evocative and easy manner that led audiences to understand that Yves was incredibly smooth.
Sadly, Yves Gravar succumbed to cancer in 2020; his loss was greatly felt in the maritime music community and ended Two Sheets to the Wind.
