Overview
Kaya! Kaya! – Welcome to Our Home and Country
The 2024 event will take place from Friday, 5 July through Sunday, 7 July 2024!
From fireside folk sessions and concerts, to full blown pub shanty singing, from tales of pirates, whales and shipwrecks; the Albany International Folk ‘n Shanty Festival turns historic Albany/Kinjarling into a playground of maritime culture. Set on the shores of the majestic waters of Mamang Koort (Heart of the Whale), join us for a festival that celebrates the heart and soul of place.
Returning the festival to July brings new layers of engagement that can only broaden the festival experience. We are already in negotiations with an international act, and in the New Year we promise to keep you posted with more exciting news.
