This is the first of two sea shanty singing workshops over the Allen Valleys Folk Festival weekend and a treat it will be!

Christopher Miller has sung and played music for around 45 years, particularly over the last 20 years at folk and acoustic festivals and sessions up and down the UK and Ireland. He started The Auckland Shanty Singers five years ago in Bishop Auckland Co Durham to help people in the community to find their voice by singing sea shanty and songs of the sea. He has been running shanty singalong, developmental sessions and workshops throughout this period.
