Overview
Schweizer Seemanns-Chor Störtebekers. We‘re the Störtebekers, the Shanty choir of the Swiss Seamen Club, here just having fun together.
The group does not appear to have its own Facebook page, although Andre Bourquin writes on his own page, “We are the Störtebekers, originally the shanty choir of the Swiss Merchant Navy, all seamen. But now more and more others like me join the choir, while the seamen get older and fewer. By the way, did you know that we Swiss had free access to the sea. (through the Rhine) This is why all Swiss sea going vessels have their origin port in Basel.
This group may be named after a legendary Germany pirate, Klaus Störtebeker, who has his own Wikipedia entry.
