With a varied repertoire, the singers and musicians of L’Airhaleur will take you on board for a concert or a show and give you an unforgettable event, sharing a festive atmosphere of songs and dances for all.

L’AIRHALEUR is a maritime singing group based in Montgermont, within the Rennes metropolitan area of Brittany. Its story began in 1999.

Over the years, the group has evolved. During weekly rehearsals, singers and musicians expand their repertoire, which now includes over 135 work songs and dance tunes. The repertoire continues to grow with traditional songs and original new creations.

The group’s operating principles form its foundation—and its uniqueness. Each member takes the lead on several songs, while the others join in as the chorus. All songs performed in public are learned by heart. New songs are collectively embraced: every member contributes suggestions and ideas for arrangements.

Beyond traditional songs, the group also enriches its repertoire with original compositions.

The association also organizes local events, such as Fest-Noz or cabaret evenings.

Alongside the musicians and singers, the group of associated members plays a vital role in the association’s functioning—handling logistics, event organization, animation, and communication.

Through their performances, the singers and musicians take audiences on a journey across the salty oceans, with songs from France, Brittany, Quebec, Ireland, Tahiti, and beyond.
