Overview
Aqua Marina is a contemporary, Polish, all-female acappella group that performs maritime-themed folk music. The group is part of the Youth Cultural Center in Gliwice. They recorded their self-titled, eight-song album, “Aqua Marina”, at the Educational Recording Studio at MDK in Gliwice. Dominika Płonka arranged a majority of the songs on that album; it was engineered, mixed and mastered by Grzegorz Gutowski.
The girls met during singing lessons at the Gliwice Culture House. The group was formed in 2016 and in the same year, they played at the Bie Daip international festival in the Netherlands. Since then, they have been invited to many festivals, including two visits to the Maritime Festival in Bremen.
Their album can be listened to on YouTube; the physical CD is available to purchase directly from the group at concerts, only.
