Overview
Aqua Marina is a contemporary, Polish, all-female acappella group that performs maritime-themed folk music. The group was originally part of the Youth Cultural Center in Gliwice, and they became independent in 2021.. They recorded their self-titled, eight-song album, “Aqua Marina”, at the Educational Recording Studio at MDK in Gliwice. Dominika Płonka arranged a majority of the songs on that album; it was engineered, mixed and mastered by Grzegorz Gutowski.
The women met during singing lessons at the Gliwice Culture House. The group was formed in 2016 and in the same year, they played at the Bie Daip international festival in the Netherlands. Since then, they have been invited to many festivals, including two visits to the Maritime Festival in Bremen.
Their album can be listened to on YouTube; the physical CD is available to purchase directly from the group at concerts, only.
“Part of the first album is available on Spotify and YouTube as well as few our singles. The second album “Aqua Marina Opole Live” – 2024 is not yet available online.”
