Overview
Armstrong’s Patent is one of the premier maritime music groups in the Netherlands. They are a five-person group that was founded in Appingedam in 1992. They perform an eclectic mix of folk and sea songs and deliver a professional yet lighthearted performance that entertains and pleases their audiences across Europe and beyond.
The term “Armstrong’s Patent” is a reference to a tall ship that has no mechanical lifting engines, and thus requires 100% manpower to operate lines, windlasses, anchor chains and pumps.
The group has had some challenges with their website, so it has been difficult to determine what, if any, CDs are available for this group. This listing will be updated when information becomes available. [MMDI editor, 10 Sept 2024]
