Le Berdanciot

Le Berdanciot, a musical duo from the Vendôme take you to the Loire and the oceans to the rhythm of the songs of Loire sailors and sailors’ songs.

The root of the word, “Berdanciot” comes from “berdancer” a Vendômoise expression that corresponds to a noisy, disorderly and futile gesticulation.

It is also a little wink to the Vendômois works of René Suard published in the last century “Les histouères du Mait’Batiau” and “Berdancerie.”

Michel floats on the keys of his diatonic accordions and makes you berdance to traditional tunes.

Pascal sings and makes you join in with the words of the sailors of the Loire and the ocean, but also with original compositions written by Berdanciot, joining in with harmonica, spoons and percussion.
