Overview
I’m a solo performer, who get roped (roped- get it!) into group performances now and then. I sing full-on shanties encouraging my audience to join in the chorus. Happy to spend time teaching them to newcomers too.
Am fully CRB’d and offer a presentation to schools which includes sailing, geography, history, food, life on ships and the music. I explain the origins of shanties, their use on board a sailing vessel, and get the children involved with singing a few. Don’t worry though, my songs are fully sanitised and suitable for everyone. Even those of a nervous disposition!
I’m available for Womens Institute nights, Sailing clubs, pub events and more.
I can either come as ‘Capt Jacks’ poor long-lost relation, or in regular clothes. Trust me, Johnny Depp has nothing to fear!
