About The Freebooters:
Captain Kane and The Freebooters are founded by Kane, formerly of The Jolly Rogers.
He left The Jolly Rogers in 2023, after 33 years, and has started a new pirate singing comedy group, The Freebooters, with an all-new fresh crew.
There are plenty of sea shanties, traditional Irish songs, drinking songs, maritime music to be done, PLUS onstage shenanigans and plenty of fun!
With decades of musical and vocal experience in bands, choirs, and musical theatre, the members of The Freebooters promise plenty of well crafted harmonies, instrumentals, jokes, and pirate shenanigans.
More info coming soon about the band and the members of The Freebooters!
About Captain Kane:
Captain Kane is the former co-founder and lead singer as Kane of The Jolly Rogers and recorded 14 albums, and wrote songs such as “Beers To You“, “Blackjack Slim’s Cutthroat Inn“, “The Queen Fairy“, and “Dead Men Tell No Tales“. Captain Kane performed with the JRs at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival from 1990-2023 (33 years), The Oklahoma Renaissance Festival (Castle at Muskogee) for 17 years, as well as other festivals such as Arizona Renaissance Festival, Louisiana Renaissance Festival, Bristol Renaissance Festival, Port Washington Pirate Festival, and The Shanties 2000 International Sea Shanty Festival in Krakow, Poland.
His new group features an array of instruments and vocalists in the classic comedy singing pirate tradition that Captain Kane helped invent.
His music is half-maritime, half-traditional Irish music, with a few originals to booty!
