Overview
Croche Dedans is a sea shanty group that has been lighting up stages on the western coast of France for over twelve years now. Based in Nantes, the group imbues traditional sea shanties and own songs with their infectious energy.
From Brittany to Ireland, from the Caribbean to New Zealand via the Philippines or Chile, Croche Dedans celebrates the ocean by revisiting the marine repertoire and distilling its own compositions. Three singing musicians (accordion, guitar, banjo) three albums, hundreds of concerts in France and abroad (Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Czech Republic) and a communicative festive energy that invites the public to dive into the waves.
The group has formed a close relationship with the Wellington Sea Shanty Society and has often performed with them, producing a joint album, “Ahoy!” in 2018,
