Djibou is the new name of the group continuing to perform after Djiboudjep.

For 50 years, Djiboudjep has skimmed maritime events and music festivals. The spirit of celebration and conviviality associated with an unprecedented repertoire have made the success of the group. The death in 2020 of Mikaël Yaouank, emblematic singer and pioneer of the renewal of sailor singing, put an end to this long and fantastic journey. What’s left? A unique repertoire, the nostalgia of a state of mind, a way of living, of sharing the stage and music. Nicolas, Pierrick, Guillaume and Etienne, former members of the group, affected for life by this adventure, have taken over the helm but aboard a new ship simply called Djibou. A transition full of emotion.
