Overview

Accompanied by guitar, violin and drawstring bag, Drijfhout (English:  “driftwood”) sings about shipwrecks, beachcombing and life on the island.  They are the “house maritime band” of the island of Vlieland!

The, mostly self-written, songs and traditional island music of Drijfhout and the atmosphere on the island fit together like no other. The rough, cheerful, romantic, nostalgic and tough songs are forged together in an inimitable way with strong stories.

Whether on the Vliehors during an evening trip by a campfire, in the theater Podium Vlieland, in the middle of nature, on the beach or by the fireplace in your holiday home; Driftwood makes your stay on the island unforgettable (and during the performances on shore you immediately feel like going for a breath of fresh air on Vlieland!)
