Overview
Felixstowe has its very own shanty crew, the aptly named FelixStowaways. The band was formed in November 2014 and consists of five local men, skipper Norman, Andy, Mark, Steve, and Terry. They sing at local events and festivals, raising money for charity and have also travelled to Holland to perform.
This group hosts its own Shanty Café annually in their home town.
This group’s name has variously appeared as Felix Stowaways and FelixStowaways. We are using the latter, based on the roster for the 2024 Harwich Shanty Festival.
