Harmony singing for men.  Try It!

Voicemale is an informal men’s harmony singing session that happens on Wednesday evenings on the South Side of Glasgow as part of the community outreach project called Finn’s Place, at Langside Parish Church, 167 Ledard Rd, G42 9QU, at 7.30pm.

Men of all and any levels of singing experience are welcome to turn up at Voicemale at any point. We learn by ear, you don’t need to read music, it’s for fun.

There’s a wealth of different styles and traditions out there to explore, from sea-shanties to lovesongs to drinking songs, including the wonderful harmony traditions of Africa, America, the Mediterranean and the Caucasus. If you were put off singing at school, or told you couldn’t sing, this might be just what you need. Come and join us and prove there’s more to it than male voice choirs and barbershop quartets. (Nothing wrong with them, of course.)

DISCLAIMER: “Voicemale” is not a particularly original pun. Glasgow Voicemale has no connection with other Voicemales in Norfolk, Cardiff, Morpeth, Antwerp, Utah, Brandeis University (Massachusetts), Western Australia and doubtless sundry other places. We send them all fraternal greetings.

We meet at “Finn’s Place”, Langside Parish Church, 167 Ledard Rd, GLASGOW G42 9QU.
