GU10

GU10 is a sea shanty and folk music group from the island of Guernsey C.I. 

Taking their name from a combination of the number of members of the group and the style of Guernsey fishing boat registration GU10 are an all male singing group specialising in sea shanties and other nautical tunes.

The group was set up by Peter Falla and Fraser Hiddelston to coincide with the Year of the Sea which Guernsey celebrated in 2005.

After a summer playing at more venues than the band care to remember as a part of SeaGuernsey, they took the unanimous decision to continue performing during 2006.

All of the other members of the group were hand picked by Peter and Fraser. All are good singers and four play musical instruments, Simon plays the Mandolin, Guitar, Concertina and Banjo, Richard plays Guitar, Dominic the Guitar, Penny Whistle and Mandolin, and John adds his own brand of percussion to the whole proceedings.
