Kamil Piotr Piotrowski

Kamil is on the folk scene for more than 20 years. First he performanced with Passat Band (2002-2004). Since 2005, mandolinist and vocalist of the Silesian band SĄSIEDZI (also manager of the group). He also performs with the bands Szkocka Trupa (contemporary sea songs) and UHUHU Band (Irish, English, American and Polish folksongs).
For years he has also been performing solo or in a duo, at more or less official nautical events, races, meetings – singing well-known traditional and contemporary sea songs as well as his own original nautical songs accompanied by guitar or mandolin. He also likes to turn into a shantymen from time to time to sing a few shanties solo. A strong, high-pitched voice with mandolin accompaniment create interesting sounds.

After hours Kamil is also editor-in-chief of the website and social media of Polish Folk Magazine Folk24.pl and Polish Maritime Music Web – Szanty24.pl. His Folk24 Foundation organize festivals, perfomances, do management or booking and publish Polish Folk and Maritime Folk music on CD’s and vinyls.
