Les Mat’lots du Vent are a singing group of 21 sailors from the Lorient region

For twenty years, the Mat’lots du vent have been sailing on all the seas of the world. “Our universe is that of square riggers, three-mast barques, cutters and brigs, frigates… carrying the flags of the time of the sailing navy and the Compagnie des Indes,” says Guy Chapuis. From Valparaiso to Barbados, from Liverpool to Cape Horn, the singers and the musicians of the group take the public into a universe of songs drawn from the traditional repertoire and that of contemporary composers including the late Michel Tonnerre: songs to pull, to turn to the capstan, to haul, to dance.

As of 2024 the group has produced the following albums;

Les Mat’lots du Vent (2004) (EP, out of stock)

Quinze Marins (2006) (out of stock)
