Overview
A slightly idiosyncratic shanty choir from Dussen in Brabant. Our Mutants come from the Land of Heusden and Altena and De Langstraat. The repertoire consists of Irish, Scottish, English, German and Dutch shanties. Sung in three voices with a laugh and a tear. About distant shores and lost loves.
De Muiterij is a welcome guest at (shanty) festivals throughout the Netherlands, but also in Scotland (including The Great Hall in Edinburgh Castle), Germany, Ireland, Romania, Denmark and Switzerland. Our choir has won several (main) prizes.
