Five men, five voices and five microphones – that’s enough to make music!

It began in 1995 with a musical fascination with traditional shanties, songs of the sea and folklore of the greatest globetrotters and cosmopolitans, such as the 19th century sailors. It was followed by a fascination with spirituals and gospel songs, songs of dockers, farmers, miners, pearl divers and shepherds. Beautiful, rhythmic and melodic work songs, often performed in very exotic languages, are the crowning repertoire of the NORTH CAPE band .
