Kloor – the world needs more coastal rock! True to this motto, we have been touring successfully across Germany from Flensburg to Füssen since 2011.

Coastal rock – this is an authentic and varied musical program, which has its origins in the former seafaring activities of some of the band members. Born as true northerners in Hamburg, having traveled to many parts of the world, we four “big boys” now live and work in the land of horizons. The sea, beach and fresh air provide strength and inspiration. The music should fit the story, so we like to pull different styles out of the duffel bag. The broad musical background, together with versatile instrumentation (2 x g, b, dr, perc, acc, harp, 4 x voc), ensures varied arrangements.

We sing in German – the songs tell of life in the north and along other coasts with charm, wit and sometimes a pinch of self-irony.

The Nordward Ho repertoire includes robustly arranged maritime traditionals, shanties and pirate rock as well as rousing, hit songs of our own composition. Pop, rock, blues, boogie and reggae as well as ballads are presented in an entertaining and easy-to-join-up mix. We play handmade music that quickly catches the audience.
