Bounding Main CD Fish Out of Water FOoW

The band was founded in 1992 by Grzegorz Majewski, Marek Razowski, Sławomir Olko, and Konrad Irzyk. At that time, the Pearls and the Rogues of Shanghai only perform a cappella music.

With this line-up, the band released two albums:

Songs After Work (1997)

In 1998, Konrad Irzyk and Marek Razowski left the band, replaced by Michał Gramatyka and Wojciech Harmansa. Along with the change of composition, the band began to use instruments in their music. In 2000 the band released the album Kanał lewy, channel prawy (it is the band’s last album).

At the turn of 2000/2001, Grzegorz Majewski left the band (in conflict with the band), he was replaced by Adam Ryszard Saczka, and also Michał Smoliński. In 2000, the band’s name was changed to Pearls and Rogues. Under a new name and with a new line-up, the band released the album Perły on the Internet in December 2001. In the years 2002-2003, Artur Dziuk appeared in the band, who had previously played in the band Poszedłem na łób. In 2003, Sławomir Olko left the team and was replaced by Wojciech Paluszkiewicz, a former member of the V team. In 2004, the band released another album – Burza. Decade of Rogues (Sławomir Olko also appears among the performers). In this line-up, the band released an album in January 2006 that differed significantly from the current image of Pereł. It is a Missa album with religious works.

The band changed its name to Real Pearls. In January 2010, the latest album entitled In exile, which was released on the Internet.

In 2018, one of the team members, a director at the state-owned company Enea, lost his job. Wojciech Harmansa performed in August this year at the Charzykowy Festival, while performing the encore, the band put on T-shirts with the inscription “Konstytucja”. The performance in a T-shirt did not appeal to PiS deputy Aleksander Mrówczyński. The politician wrote to the sponsor of the event, Enea, writing about “anti-government demonstrations”. Enea’s representatives claim that it was about “serious misconduct by an employee”.
