Overview
Six women from 20 to 29 years old, who tackle with enthusiasm and energy the repertoire of former sailors, that gives… The Pirates!! They roam today in the four corners of Europe to remonstrate with the “old sea wolves”!
Les Pirates was originally a children’s group project of the Cancale Association Phare Ouest, directed and accompanied by Paul Terrel. The four original members, Marianick Pichon, Anne-Sophie Lacour, Héloïse Chambrin, Joanne Le Bec née Pichon, decided to make their group permanent and managed their own agenda for some years. At one time, in continued cooperation with the association, they added Gabrielle Gervaise and Amandine Dupuy.
More recently, the original quartet’s members have taken on non-music careers, some have married, and some have left Europe for other adventures. From time to time they still gather together as fate allows to perform once more.
