Pirates of Stonewall is Maryland’s loudest and proudest LGBTQIA+ singing pirate crew, and the queerest band of barnacle-bedecked bilge rats ever to plunder the Spanish Main, bringing you maritime melodies from Tortuga, Ocracoke, Provincetown, Rehoboth Beach and Fire Island! Our repertoire—that’s your actual French—is a mixture of familiar favorites, traditional tunes to which we’ve applied our own unique spin, and originals that you’ve never heard anywhere before because we wrote ’em. We believe that hatred and bigotry have no place in the maritime music community, and that shanties are for everybody—and that means everybody.
