Quai des Brumes: Songs of sailors from the Normandy coasts and elsewhere.

For some 25 years, Quai des Brumes has been singing of the sea, putting on a dynamic show with good humour by the barrel-full and energy by the ladle, encouraging their enthusiastic audiences to join in the songs.

To date they have produced 4 CDs and given more than 700 concerts.

They’ve toured throughout France, (Toulon, La Rochelle, Dunkirk, Paris, Toulouse, Dijon, Redon, Granville, Boulogne sur mer, Le Havre, Dieppe, Fécamp, etc.) and abroad the Bremen festival in Germany.

The CD can be obtained at the concert venues, at the headquarters of the Chanteloup association (at the École d’Étoutteville) or by mail.

Some information on the group and their future events may be found at the Laurent Barray’s website.

Unfortunately, at time of writing we were unable to locate a website, contact details or information on the albums reported to have been produced by the group.

Note: Not to be confused with a 3-piece folk group of the same name, (and others, plus most notably a celebrated French film dating from 1938.)
