Solent Shanty Buoys

The Solent Shanty Boys are a group of friends who enjoy singing shanties but also some lesser known songs of the sea.

They are thoroughly enjoying being able to perform again and will be at Medford festivals as well as Falmouth this year! They do love performing at beer festivals and micro breweries . . . can’t think why!! But they perform to a wide range of audiences, always encouraging audience participation

The Solent Shanty Buoys were born when the band lined up for the sailing club’s pre-season bash pulled out. Four friends who enjoy sailing, singing and beer rose to the challenge and developed their unique brand of entertainment: sing songs of the sea, get the audience involved, and above all, have fun
