Mrkvicka – who goes by “Mrk” – when asked if he was aware of the group in California that went by “Starboard Watch”, responded, “I chose the name because I was on the night crew (the starboard watch) while I was on board the Forrestal.” He expanded, saying, “We are old coots who love sea faring songs and shanties.”
