Overview
Stowaway is a trio that lives in Appingedam 🇳🇱 and surroundings. They’ve been traveling at home and abroad for twenty-five years. The trio has a wide repertoire of international folk songs.
Jan Huttinga, Willy Boon and Jaap Tholen sing in three voices and blend their voices to the Stowaway sound, if not accompanied by a guitar. They bring a wide repertoire of songs from Ireland, England and America. Songs about work, love, sadness and happiness and struggle that folk music should be about. Sometimes sad, sometimes funny, but mostly with speed and joy. Their newest CD, “Yellow Bird”, was released in June 2017.
