Overview
Treizhadenn – Chant et Musique Bretonnes
The music group Treizhadenn (“La Traversée” in Breton, the Celtic language of Brittany) hosts Fest-Noz events, concerts, cabarets, bar performances, and performances at maritime music festivals. Treizhadenn is a Breton music group with a unique style, which has been performing since 2007 on a repertoire consisting mainly of compositions and of which singing is the central element. The themes covered target the maritime heritage of Brittany with texts in French, English and Breton. These words are set to music with Breton dances and melodies, but also Celtic themes.
Our repertoire is almost exclusively composed of group creations, (music and lyrics) and it is dedicated to the sea, sailors and Brittany.
Some key figures to summarize our career:
- More than 100 performances (concerts, Fest-Noz, festivals)
- Participations in Ile de France, Brittany and Europe
- A discography of 4 albums
- 9 musicians who followed one another.
