Overview
The “Two Boaters” is a project Bobby dreamed up after his Celtic group, Boston’s Erin Og, was asked to accompany other Irish artists on a cruise to the Greek Islands. Remembering his Scottish/Newfoundland grandfather and Tipperary/New Brunswick grandmother he added a few Canadian/Sea songs to our repertoire. When slide guitar, whistle, banjo, mandolin, lead guitar solo’s, lead us into a mixture of
- Canadian Maritime (Great Big Sea)
- Celtic (Clancy Bros./Dougie McLean)
- Honky-Tonk (Hank Williams/Merle Haggard)
- Bluegrass (Oh Brother where art though), and
- American Folk (James Taylor/Paul Simon)
– the music we love to play – and that we hope you love to listen to!
