Jacek Sulanowski: July 8, 1943 — October 18, 2023. He was a member of the notable maritime music group, Rum-Soaked Crooks
Jacek Sulanowski has sung for his supper in many a port and concert venue for nearly 50 years. Holding a doctorate in paleontology, he has taught earth sciences at Bridgewater State University and conducted research at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Jacek served on the Board of Overseers of the Kendall Whaling Museum in Sharon, Massachusetts. Since retirement, Jacek has devoted much of his time to geological field trips and the search for new musical material for the Crooks. [Connecticut Sea Music Festival]
Jacek Sulanowski (RIP) was an oceanographer and musician, performing and recording with such friends as Tom Goux and Dan Lanier.

Subject: Remembering Jacek
Good afternoon,
Earlier today, at Falmouth Hospital, Jacek K Sulanowski peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family. He had celebrated his 80th birthday in July, in good cheer and with many dear friends. Margaret and Janusz would like to extend an invitation to all his wide circle of beloved friends to visit and remember him together later this week. A celebration of his life will be planned for the early days of 2024.
