Martin Judkins is a true Celt at heart. Originally from Wales, he has lived in the far north of the Netherlands for many decades – although he keeps wondering where those mountains are anyway. With his deep love for folk music and rich musical experience, he is an indispensable link within the folk world.
As a co-founder of Rocking Good Folk – an organisation that organises concerts, sessions, folk club nights and singarounds – and of Jig Dolls & Limberjacks, the only remaining known makers of Jig Dolls in continental Europe, Martin has more than earned his spurs. He has also been playing in various Celtic folk bands since his arrival in the Netherlands. With his versatility and warm vocals, he brings colour and character to every song.
